We found out the winner of Project Runway 2016 last week, which means it is time for the Project Runway Season 15 reunion special on Lifetime tonight! Yes, all of the designers on Project Runway 2016 will return to chat with Tim Gunn about the season and all of the drama. We should definitely have some intense moments regarding Dexter and Cornelius, so watch out for that! Check it out with us during our Project Runway 2016 Live Recap below!
Last week on Project Runway Season 15, it was the finale and it was time for the final four designers (Erin, Rik, Roberi and Laurence) to finish their collections. The designers were feeling a little defeated after the judges’ critiques the week before. However, they got $500 more and headed to Mood to help spruce up their looks. From there, the looks were finished and the runway show took place. To be honest, Laurence’s collection was the most wearable, but it was a little boring, especially for her. Rik had a good collection, but I was not a fan of the denim print. I did not like Roberi’s shiny, wrapping paper fabric and Erin’s collection was made for a circus, so of course she won!

We start with the final seven designers joining Tim Gunn on stage while the others are backstage. We talk about Erin and her victory. We look back at her journey on the show and Tim talks about her love of yellow. She has a big banana phone case, which is obnoxious!
Then we talk to Roberi, who is working in a studio in New York and glad he moved from Venezuela. He is hoping everything gets worked out at home though. Tim talks with Rik about his win for the AARP challenge and what they are doing with all that money. A family vacation is planned and he’ll use some for his brand.
Now time for Laurence, as she said her website has been blowing up since the show and she has a ton of orders. She also talks about luxury cars and doing some couture items for them. We then see a funny video of Laurence and her language barrier and how she struggled with expressing her feelings.
We go to the team challenge drama between Erin, Dexter and Cornelius. Things got ugly and we watch it all over again. Erin and Dexter feel the editing of that day was not done properly and thought they were having fun and joking. Erin said they were working well together, but Tim said they didn’t and they marginalized Cornelius. Tim said the editing is friendly to everyone.
Nathalia and Jenni come out and time to look at the team challenge they had with Mah Jing and he is not happy with them, still! They look back at the challenge and Mah-Jing feels the same way and he was disrespected. Things get heated, yet again. Nathalia said Mah-Jing did not like her from the first challenge and was mean to her behind the scenes. He said he helped her on the first challenge. Jenni said they came together and made a good collection. Mah-Jing said he has no bad blood for Nathalia and they just disagree.
The remaining designers are there, except for Sarah. She sent a video message and is headed to her honeymoon, so no reunion for her! We then look at Brik and his crazy antics. Tim said the public liked him, but did we? The designers all seemed to love him also.
I loved Tasha and wanted her to stay longer, but her designs always let me down! She gave all the designers nicknames and we hear some of them, which includes “Denim Dream” for Mah-Jing. We go back to the team challenge and Alex taking the fall for his team losing and his pitch lost it on Project Runway 2016. Alex said he would not change a thing.
Jenni is back and that damn laugh of hers! We watch of video of her non-stop laughing and it is annoying. It seems that Kimber and Linda can do a good impression of it!
We look at Dexter and his unique and made-up words he used. I used to like this guy. The tears were flowing this season, as we had some emotional designers on Project Runway Season 15! Mah-Jing was the biggest crier on the show, as he said he became in touch with his emotional side when his daughter was born and he was there fighting for his life.
Then we look at Cornelius and the shade he was throwing all the time. He seemed to change as the season went on. He said it was in a joking manner. Nathalia said in school he would do the same thing and when he did, it was usually because he liked what you did and he was jealous. Him and Dexter get into it again.
We look at everyone throwing shade, as we watch the designers in the interview room. A lot of shade from Nathalia and Cornelius towards Erin! Nathalia said when you are in a competition and you vomit words. Erin said Nathalia wants to be nice, but then is alone and is mean. Yet again, it gets heated between Erin and Dexter and Cornelius.
We talk to Linda and Ian and get some words from them, even though we didn’t see much from them this season!
Tim went out to students at FIDM and the first one is shag, marry and kill to Brik. He would kill Cornelius, shag Dexter and marry Tim! Jenni is questioned about saying Laurence is a one trick pony. Laurence said she didn’t understand where she was coming from, but didn’t care!
We end with a video of Tim Gunn and his sayings and moments from the season. How can you not have Project Runway without him, right?
